We had a great first day of testing at Lubeck. Our 5th graders got to show what they know on the GSA Reading assessment. They worked very hard and should be proud. 5th grade will continue tomorrow with the writing portion of the GSA.
Not all classrooms got menus passed out today. if your child did not get one, they will bring it home tomorrow.
Lunch Menu for, Tuesday, May 2 is chicken and cheese quesadilla. tortilla chips, salsa, refried beans, and Craisins.
The Wood County Elementary track meet scheduled for tonight and tomorrow (May 1-2) has been cancelled due to weather.

Word got back to Charleston about how awesome and enjoyable our Lubeck kids were during Joe Testa's visit yesterday. The Lubeck School Community has been invited to be featured in a Charleston Dirty Birds School Spirit Game on Sunday, May 21. What a fun honor! A paper copy of the flyer will go home with students soon!

This morning, March 10, 2023, a Wood County Schools bus on Lee Creek Road experienced mechanical issues, causing the vehicle to fill with smoke. Students were immediately evacuated and there were no injuries. The fire department was called as a precaution and a second bus was sent to pick up the students. The bus was carrying students bound for Lubeck Elementary, Blennerhassett Middle and Parkersburg South High School.
Again, all students are safe and will be dropped off at their respective schools. We will update as additional details become available.
Greetings parents and guardians: While working through a glitch in our all-call system, Wood County Schools realized that our morning, elementary school attendance calls to parents informing of a student absence did not go out. We want you to know that this occurred and that the problem has been corrected. Absence calls will continue as normal on Monday.
If your student did not bring their Lubeck t-shirt order home today, they will bring home tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.

Monday, February 6, 2023 will be a Professional Learning Day for employees. Students will not attend classes. Classes will resume on Tuesday at normal times.
Due to worsening road conditions, Wood County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, January 31st. There will be no classes. 261-day employees are to report two hours later than their normal start time.
Wood County Schools will be on a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, January 31st, due to weather conditions. All buses and classes will operate two hours later than normal. Employees will report to work one hour later than their normal start time.
A widespread power outage in Lubeck due to a traffic accident has knocked out phones at Lubeck Elementary School. Dismissal will be as normal, though buses will be delayed this evening due to blocked bus routes. Thank you for your patience and understanding as Wood County Schools works to get students home quickly and safely this evening.
