Wood County Recreation Commission Summer Tennis and Summer T-ball Flyer

Parkersburg, WV – The Wood County Recreation Commission is gearing up for a summer of fun and fitness with its 2024 Summer Tennis and T-Ball programs, offering children ages 3 to 18 a chance to stay active and learn new skills.

Summer Tennis, open to youth ages 5–18, will run from June 10 to July 24 at the Parkersburg City Park Tennis Courts. Sessions are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, providing a structured and affordable way for kids to improve their game. The program costs $40, and scholarships are available. Families can register online at woodrecreation.com or attend in-person sign-ups on June 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Wood County Rec Office.

For younger athletes, Summer T-Ball is designed for children ages 3–6 and will take place from June 16 to August 4 at the City Park Baseball Fields. Games are scheduled for Monday evenings, with a full schedule available on the website.
