school and business leaders seated at a table for a partner in education signing

Coplin Health Systems has strengthened its commitment to student health and wellness by forming two new official Partner in Education (PIE) partnerships with Blennerhassett Elementary and Blennerhassett Middle Schools. As a long-standing Federally Qualified Health Center serving the Mid-Ohio Valley, Coplin’s expanded involvement marks its third PIE partnership, with plans to extend to six more schools. The collaboration underscores Coplin’s dedication to improving student well-being and supporting educational success across Wood County Schools.

What makes these partnerships especially impactful is Coplin’s focus on providing direct access to healthcare within schools. Through mental health professionals and portable telehealth units, students and staff can connect with providers for both physical and mental health services without leaving campus—reducing barriers like transportation and lost class time. School leaders praised the initiative as a powerful step toward promoting academic achievement and emotional wellness, calling it a true “win-win” for the Blennerhassett community and an inspiring model for the district.
