Midterms are on Wednesday, April 26th. Students must submit all missing work for the 4th nine weeks by 3:00pm. Any work not turned in will remain a zero.
Olympics Criteria - 1)You cannot have more than 5 lunch isolations between March 27 and May 24; 2) You cannot earn ISS or OSS for any infraction between March 27 and May 24; 3) You cannot have three or missing assignments in any one class. This includes wellness class due to not participating.
Lost and Found - there are several hoodies, lunch boxes, and water bottles in the lost and found. If your child is missing an item, please have them check this week.

Important Events this Week
1) Penny Wars continue until Friday. Make sure to bring in those pennies to get your country points. Silver coins and dollars deduct points from other countries. Thank you for helping raise money for the Olympics.
2) iReady testing is this week! Please make sure your child brings their iPad charged each day.
3) Friday is Powder Puff Football sponsored by NJHS. Cost is $2 per student.
4) Wednesday the 8th Graders travel to Moundsville, WV

BMS School Book Fair is going on today and tomorrow. Students can visit the book fair in the library during the day.

The online parent survey will be available from February 20 through April 7, 2023.
Parents are asked to complete an online survey about school climate—the learning and teaching/working conditions—to help guide school improvement efforts. The results of this survey will be used to make changes in their child's school to ensure a supportive environment for teaching and learning. The survey may be completed from any computer with an internet connection.
Parent participation in the survey is very important. If parents have questions about the survey or problems completing the survey, they should contact their child's school. To protect parent/caregiver confidentiality, at least 10 parents must take the survey for results to be summarized for your school.
When parents log onto the survey, they will see explanatory information about the survey and the important information below as to their rights as a survey participant:

Tomorrow is Hat/PJ day at BMS! Students pay $1 to wear a hat or PJs for the day. All money raised will be donated to the Wood County Society.
Reminder - Fundraiser calendars are due March 31st. Any student who fills the calendar will be entered into a drawing. Calendars were sent home with students this week as well as at the beginning of the year.

Exciting news for important Blennerhassett Middle staff and students!
We are very pleased to bring health and wellness services to our school via a partnership with Coplin Health Systems.
Students and staff can be seen and treated for minor illnesses and conditions by a licensed health care provider from Coplin with minimal disruption for families from school and work. Anyone who is interested in receiving these services must complete a registration and consent form. You can use the QR code below or request a paper consent. All services will be coordinated thru the nurse’s office
This morning, March 10, 2023, a Wood County Schools bus on Lee Creek Road experienced mechanical issues, causing the vehicle to fill with smoke. Students were immediately evacuated and there were no injuries. The fire department was called as a precaution and a second bus was sent to pick up the students. The bus was carrying students bound for Lubeck Elementary, Blennerhassett Middle and Parkersburg South High School.
Again, all students are safe and will be dropped off at their respective schools. We will update as additional details become available.
