Individual Student Pictures will be taken this Friday, September 6 at Hamilton Middle School. Even if you don't purchase school pictures, we would like all students to have their pictures taken for inclusion in the yearbook. Fall sports pictures will also be taken on Friday.

Wood County Schools will hold their open houses for the start of the 2024-25 school year on Monday, August 19. 2024. All Middle Schools including Hamilton will hold their open houses between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Hamilton students who attend will receive copies of the schedules, find their lockers and check their combinations, and meet their teachers. Sixth grade students who attended their orientation on Thursday August 15, do not need to attend open house.

Hamilton will hold an orientation for our sixth-grade students Thursday evening, August 15 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. All 6th grade students and their parents and guardians are invited to attend. You'll be able to meet your homeroom teacher and other teachers, get a copy of your schedule, find your locker and practice opening your lock. If you attend the orientation, you won't need to attend the Open House on Monday, August 19. You'll already be ready to go on the first day of school! We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!

Just a reminder: The Mid-Ohio Valley Workforce Development Board will offer two summer programs for students. The CTE Exploration Camp for incoming 8th-11th grade students will provide an opportunity to explore skilled trades of carpentry, welding, electrical as well as automotive, aviation, health care, and culinary. Camp will take place from July 10-12, 8:30am-3:00pm. The program includes virtual reality simulations, hands on projects, and guest speakers. Participants will earn certificates in workplace safety and customer service. Transportation assistance is available. Space is limited space. The week-long event will include tours of local union training facilities and mentoring from master craftsmen as well as the use of Virtual Reality for students to simulate on-the-job experiences in addition to the hands-on projects.
