It was a Top Secret Day today! Make sure you're at school everyday and on time so you don't miss out. Special thanks to Chemours Emergency Response and Safety Team and Blennerhasset Fire Department for teaching our students about fire safety.
They gave students home work tonight:
1. Check for Smoke Detector and Check the Battery
Let the teacher know if you need don't have a fire detector.
2. Create a Fire Escape Plan with their family.
Students returning a Fire Escape Plan to their teacher tomorrow with their name on it will receive a house point for the completion. Brave Event is Friday, get those points!

Tomorrow is the last day of the book fair. The fair will be open for families to shop afterschool from 3:00-3:45.

We'd love your input! Please share your thoughts on next year's school calendar to help us plan a schedule that works best for everyone. https://forms.office.com/r/JaRaWAEVQB

Join us for the next PTO Meeting Tuesday, October 7 @ 5:30 in the Cafeteria.

House shirts should have come home with your student today. If you needed a youth XS, the smallest they came in was small. As you can imagine, ordering shirts for the whole school is cumbersome. If you received the wrong shirt/size, please return it to school with a note. Tomorrow is our House Party Day, can't wait to see everyone in their new shirts tomorrow.

Tomorrow is our first Brave House Event. Students wear your house colors to support their house. New shirts have been ordered. Students who have earned at least 6 House Points will get to participate in the House Event of Inflatables. Students can earn points by showing BRAVE ways and characteristics, having no tardies and perfect attendance for the week, returning homework and many more ways. House Events take place at midterm and the end of the nine weeks.

September is Attendance Awareness Month. To celebrate we are kicking off our "Give me Five" Challenge. For every student who is at school and on time for all five days this week, they will be entered into a drawing for a large pizza from Maka Mia Pizza. There will be one winner per grade level.

Reminder tomorrow is Picture Day! Retakes will be taken on October 15th.

Our first House Meeting is tomorrow! Don't forget to wear your house colors and add a little western flair if you dare. Students who don't have an assigned house will spin the wheel to see what house chooses them.

Please be sure to send in your information sheets that include contact and medical information ASAP. We still have several students who need their AUP. Please click the link to fill it out online: https://shorturl.at/H1NPk

Good evening! It was a great first day! Keeping our students safe is our number one priority, we appreciate you being patient as we get the bugs worked out of our new dismissal procedures. From start to finish it took us 14 minutes today. We will get faster and more efficient as we go.

🚸📚 School starts tomorrow in Wood County! Please be mindful of changing traffic conditions as buses return to the roads and students walk to school. Safety must be our top priority—slow down, stay alert, and help keep our children safe! 🚌👣

Attention: New Dismissal Procedure
All K-5th grade parent pickup students will now be picked up at Door 2 (on the playground side) @ 2:50.
Parents will line up in the two designated spots. Students will be called by two staff members following the line order. Families will be called together to exit the building. Please line up in a straight line so that there is no question to our staff who is next in line. Once your student’s names are called, please step off to the side. We will call for a few at a time, then take a break to allow those families to clear out. To prevent congestion, please collect your students and exit the area.
Unless you have a pre-k student, please be courteous to not park in the parking lot until at least 2:30pm. This will allow families that only have pre-k students to access to parking so they can collect their student and exit before dismissal for the other grades begin.
***Please be patient with us as we learn the new procedures. We will get faster as we learn families and the procedures. *****
