Parents of students in grades 3, 4, and 5, Lubeck students will be taking the General Summative Assessment (GSA) PRACTICE tests tomorrow (4/14- math), 4/15 (reading), 4/21 (writing), and 4/22 (science- 5th grade only). It is critical that your child bring their iPad to school fully charged. They will need their device to take the practice test. This is new for most students and taking the assessment on the iPad is new for all students. Having an opportunity to practice will help to build confidence and allow us to work through any glitches that may occur. Thank you for your help!

Lubeck Families: If your child is experiencing any COVID or flu-like symptoms, please keep them home from school and contact their physician. If a student is symptomatic and has undergone COVID testing and is awaiting results, they must isolate at home until those results are known. Also please remember to send your child in a clean mask to school. Masks should be washed or changed daily. If you have any concerns or are unsure if you should send your student to school with certain symptoms, please contact the nurse at 304-863-3321 or at kyla.kyer@k12.wv.us

Thank you to everyone who waited until 2:40 (or after) to arrive at the Lubeck Road pick-up line. Today was much smoother! We appreciate your help!

Than k you
Lubeck Families, Those who pick up K-2 children on the Lubeck Road side may begin lining up at 2:40. Lining up earlier continues to create challenges for buses who need to be able to get to the school and prepare for dismissal. Children will not be dismissed in the car pick-up line until buses depart. Please share this with anyone who picks up K-2 students at the end of the day. Thank you for helping with this process!

We know that morning drop-off can be a busy time; especially when buses arrive and lines get long. Did you know that there are two drop-off locations at Lubeck Elementary? K-5 students may be dropped off at the gym doors on Lubeck Rd. from 7:30-8:10 or the doors on Rt. 68 from 7:30-8:00 each morning. You are welcome to use whichever location is best for your morning commute.

Drop off
Lubeck Families, We need your help. If you have a K-2 student that is picked up at the end of the day, please do not arrive in the pick-up line before 2:40. When vehicles begin lining up prior to 2:40, the buses are not able to get down Lubeck Road to line up for bus dismissal. To create the safest process, buses must be dismissed before the primary pick-up line will begin. Thank you so much!

Lubeck Families, We sure do love having all of our kids back in the building, but we really need your help! In having all of our students, we also have double the number of transportation changes being called in during the day. Daily calls leave room for human error as there are many moving parts within the school. Please send notes to school with your student if they have a transportation change. You are welcome to send weekly/monthly transportation schedules if that is more convenient for you. We understand that emergencies happen and we are more than happy to assist in those situations.

Families, Please remind students that they should not be utilizing the "chat" feature within Teams meetings unless the teacher has given them specific instructions to do so. This tool is a great way to share information or ask questions about the lesson, but is often not used for that purpose. If you have any questions about the use of the chat box within Teams, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher. Thanks and have a great evening!
