Mrs. Wagner's class participates in a weekly peer buddy group where fourth-grade students join them to play games and socialize. All students enjoy time spent together, fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth and trying new things.
Have a great spring break! Take time to relax and enjoy something fun with someone you care about. This week, Mrs. MacIver's class played board games as an attendance reward. Students enjoyed game play, which also helps build a variety of important skills-making it a great activity, especially on rainy days.
Mrs. Shawver and Mrs. Leo’s class met with their buddies on Tuesday. Fifth grade read a story to their buddy before participating in a number hunt and trace outside.
Pre-K students tried something new by completing a directed drawing after earning 10 attendance stars. Mrs. Shawver's class really enjoyed the activity.
Mrs. Elliott's class enjoyed a game of silent ball as a reward for excellent attendance. As we approach the end of the school year, consistent attendance remains important for continued grade-level learning and for staying connected with friends and teachers.
Mrs. Mundorff's first grade class had a wonderful week. Students earned extra time outdoors as an attendance reward and participated in a silent parade through the school to showcase the planet projects they have been working so hard on. It was a great week heading into break.

Safety Meeting this Thursday April 2 from 8:00-9:00 in the cafeteria. Sign in through the front office and remember your i.d. We will be talking about our safety procedures and answering questions. Jeremy Bell the safety director for the county will also be at the meeting. Please come and ask questions.
Students in Mrs. Thomas’s class engaged in a hands-on math lesson, using manipulatives to support their learning. It was great to see them collaborating and working together to build new skills.
Students had a great time participating in this engaging, hands-on activity. Cox and Campbell’s classes collaborated on a buddy project, creating 3D Easter eggs together
This week, we celebrated our bus drivers and recognized their important role in our school community. Classes created a poster to show their appreciation, and students made cards to personally thank their drivers.

Our students did an outstanding job performing at last nights musical festival. Their hard work and dedication truly showed. A special thank you to Ms. Hahn for creating such a fun and meaningful experience for our students.
Third-grade students enjoyed Hall Financial Day while learning about financial literacy and fun, engaging games alongside their parents and friends. Thank you to Hall Financial and all the other volunteers who generously gave their time to make this day a success. A special shoutout to our third-grade parents for remembering to bring their ID's when visiting the building- we appreciate your support!
During the last part of the school year, our school partnered grade levels through a buddy class initiative. These partnerships involve activities such as reading together, conducting experiments, and other engaging lessons that promote collaboration and new friendships. Mrs. Carsey's class and Mrs. Newton's class, as well as Mrs. Morgan's class and Mrs. Elliott's class, spent time reading together. Enjoy the highlights from their shared learning experiences.
A special guest reading joined students in Mrs. Mundorff's class at Williamstown Elementary on Friday afternoon. The students thoroughly enjoyed the engaging reading experience with Christie Willis!
While we have been emphasizing strong attendance, engaging learning is also happening every day. This week, Mrs. Carsey's first-grade class explored rainbows through hands-on activities, demonstrating high levels of engagement and active learning.
Due to snowy and icy conditions impacting a significant portion of the southern part of Wood County, Wood County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026. While some areas of the county may not be experiencing the same conditions, roadways in other areas remain hazardous. Because our buses and families travel across many different communities and road conditions, this decision was made to prioritize the safety of all students and staff throughout the entire county. We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure everyone can travel safely.
Due to various road conditions throughout the county, Wood County Schools will be on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
