Dear Greenmont Families, On behalf of our staff and students, I wanted to thank everyone for their participation with our Student Council Food Drive. With your help, we have greatly supported several of our Greenmont families this Thanksgiving. Our Greenmont community has again proven why Greenmont is the best place to send our children each day. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday, November 27!

Greenmont! Our Student Council Food Drive Continues on Thursday, November 16 with BREAKFAST FOODS including cereals, breakfast bars, granola bars, powdered milk, etc. Friday's donation day will be FRESH ITEMS such as loaves of bread, bags of potatoes, bags of apples, jugs of juice, etc.

Friday's Cook's Choice Lunch.... Calzone or Stromboli, fries, veggies, lowfat milk.

Tonight's reading homework for ALL Greenmont Parents..... TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE THE BIG GAME Twas' the night before the BIG game, Grizzlies snuggled in their beds, while visions of a basketball championship raced through their heads Our community would be there, to cheer on our girls, who had straight hair, and short hair and some in pretty curls Our coaches prepared and taught every last move, as our Grizzlies hustled and jumped and rebounded and moved Our Lady Grizzlies worked hard, enjoyed themselves as they could, and were good to one another as all Great Grizzlies should Regardless the outcome, or what the score may be, thank you Lady Grizzlies for representing, our great Greenmont Community As we all head to the big game, at 6:30 tomorrow night, sleep well Grizzly nation and to all a Great Grizzly Night!

Grizzlies! Our Student Council Food Drive continues tomorrow with SIDE DISHES. Side dishes may include mac-and-cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing, noodles, rice, pasta, pasta, etc. Wednesday's donation day will be BREAKFAST FOODS.

PTA MEETING CHANGE FROM TUESDAY TO WEDNESDAY. The PTA/LSIC meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30pm has been moved to Wednesday, November 15 at 6:30pm. We will meet in our school's library. The reason for the change is due to our Lady Grizzly Basketball Team having potential playoff games on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of this week if they continue to win games. If we win tonight at 4:30pm, we will play Tuesday at 5:30pm. If we win Tuesday at 5:30pm, we will play in the Championship game Thursday, November 16 at 6:30pm. Please come out and support your Lady Grizzlies and our PTA.

Grizzly Nation! Our Student Council FOOD DRIVE is continuing on Tuesday, November 14 with STOCK THE PANTRY. Items may include PB&J, ketchup, mustard, spices, soup, coffee, tea bags, canola oil, crackers, cookies, etc. Wednesday's donation day is SIDE DISHES

Great Grizzlies! Our Student Council will continue its FOOD DRIVE on Monday, November 13 with CANNED GOODS DAY. Donations of items such as canned vegetables, fruit, apple sauce, gravy, canned chicken/tuns and other things are greatly appreciated. Tuesday's Donation Day will be STOCK THE PANTRY.

Attention Grizzlies! Our Greenmont PTA offers you some fun Friday while everyone’s off by taking the kids to the Grand Central Mall! The Watering Can Art Studio is donating 40% of the proceeds to our PTA between 11am and 8pm. Once you’ve worked on some awesome artwork, head down to The Original Pizza Place for some yummy food. The Original Pizza Place is discounting 20% as well! To receive these awesome rewards/discounts/donations simply show either store the flyer that’s posted on the Greenmont PTA Facebook page. Can you think of a better way to support our PTA and two local businesses? Have fun everyone!

Dear Grizzlies, Thursday, November 9 begins our Student Council's Food Drive with monetary donations. We are asking any businesses or families that are able to donate checks (made out to Greenmont PTA) or cash (paper bills $1, $5, $10) so that we can purchase necessary foods and ALDI gift cards. Our food drive will continue on Monday, November 13 with CANNED GOODS.

Greenmont Veterans! We are asking our veterans to arrive NLT 8:45am for tomorrow’s ceremony.

Greenmont Parents, We are having our Veterans Day Celebration tomorrow morning. We are asking all students and staff to please wear patriotic colors of RED, WHITE and BLUE. Thank you for your help in having your child wear RED, WHITE and BLUE.

Grizzly Nation! We have a few events this week that are truly awesome! Our Girls Basketball team plays its first playoff game Tuesday at Jefferson Elementary School beginning at 4:30 pm. A reminder there IS SCHOOL on Tuesday (Election Day). Wednesday at 9:00 am is our Veterans Day Assembly and we ask all staff and students to wear RED, WHITE and BLUE to honor our great country. Friday there is NO SCHOOL in observance of Veterans Day. We hope you enjoy this awesome week!

Grizzlies! Our First Nine Weeks Awards Assembly is Friday, November 3 beginning at 8:30am. Parents are welcome to attend once they've presented their ID and signed in our office beginning at 8:15am. Parents will be seated on our bleachers.

Every year at this time we must fulfill a requirement of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) of 1986. It is our responsibility to notify in writing, parents/legal guardian, school staff and employee organizations of the availability of the Asbestos Management Plan for each facility. Greenmont Parents, There is an informational parent meeting today after school in the library beginning at 3:15 about the science fair. Mrs. Berner will present information and answer any questions. We look forward to having more students participate in the science fair than ever before!
