Prizes awarded to the top elementary, middle, and high school bowlers. Free bowling, pizza, drinks, and T-shirts. 4 to 6 bowlers per Lane. Limited two adults per Lane. The event will be held on November 15 from 1 PM to 3 PM. Registration opens at 12:30 PM. The event will be held at Pike Street Lanes at 2605 Pike Street in Parkersburg.

Our First Nine Weeks Awards Assembly is Monday, November 3, 2025 beginning at 8:30 am. Our PTA will be recognizing students for the Pumpkin Drop, Color Run and fundraiser. We will also recognize students for attendance, Honor Rolls and Class Awards. Parents that wish to attend must bring a valid ID and sign in with our main office.

Parents/visitors to the parties today must show valid ID to enter. All visitors will wear a name tag. Only the main party/homeroom parent of each class will be able to go the classroom at 1:45 pm to set up. All other parents and visitors may sign in at 1:45 pm, but will go to the gym to wait. At 1:55 pm parents/visitors will be sent to the classrooms. At 2:00 pm all classes will parade inside the school in a circle exiting their classroom to the right staying on the right side of the hallway until they return back to their classroom. A reminder that candy is not supposed to ne given out at the party today.

The Student Council Thanksgiving Food Drive will take place the week of November 17-21 with packaged foods being picked up on Friday, November 21. We will be collecting various canned/non-perishable foods, fresh foods and financial donations. All donations will go directly towards helping Greenmont families.

The Greenmont BOOK FAIR is this week! Students may shop during their "specials" time with Mr. Mace. The Girls Basketball Fifth Grade Night is this Wednesday beginning at 5:45pm- this is our final home game. The SCIENCE FAIR PARENT MEETING is Thursday, October 23 in Mrs. Berner's room beginning at 3:10pm. Report cards will be sent home for grades K-5 on October 31.

Our PTA COLOR RUN is today! Parents are welcome to attend and must sign in with the main office first. If parents wish to sign their child out towards the end of the day they must sign them out from the main office as students who leave early must always be accounted for. A reminder for your child to wear clothes that may get dirty.

Our PTA sent home an optional fundraising packet yesterday/today for "Charleston Wrap" which offers a variety of items for purchase online. Proceeds go to our PTA to support our students and school. Contact PTA officers with any questions.
A reminder that our PTA Color Run will take place this Thursday during the school day. All students will participate whether raising monies or not so please have them dress in sneakers/shoes, shorts and a light colored shirt as students will get covered in colored chalk at the end of their Color Run. The chalk may come off, or it may discolor the clothes so please keep this in mind. Please don't wear your "Sunday Best". Please turn in your sponsorship forms Thursday.

A few announcements for the upcoming weeks....
1. PREK & KG parents packing cold lunch should please pack food in containers their children can open. An option may be to pack items in Ziploc baggies as kids can open them easier.
2. Please pull up as far as you can along the curb in the morning as we can unload more students safely.
3. Please do not park across the street and walk your kids in front of traffic.
4. Please position your kids so that they exit the car next to the curb and not in front of cars.
5. Volunteer forms are required for classroom volunteers and chaperones. Find these on our school and county websites.
6. First Girls Home Basketball game 5:45 pm on 9/16/25
7. PTA meeting after school at 3:15 pm on 9/17
8. MID-TERMS go home 9/18/25. Please be sure you are monitoring your child's assignments frequently and contact teachers immediately with any questions. Please be proactive with your child's schoolwork.

Our PTA is hosting a HAT DAY tomorrow at Greenmont! All proceeds will go directly to our PTA in order to provide opportunities for our students. If students wish to wear a hat all day on Friday, September 5 they must bring $1 to school and pay the people in the gym collecting money. We will announce how much money is collected at the end of the day. Thank you for supporting our PTA.
