With the boil water advisory in effect, we ask if students are able to bring water bottles with them today. We will have water available for them, but having the bottles to individually fill up would be greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon. According to the WVDHHR map released at 10:00 a.m. today, all students in Wood County Schools, including students in High School, with last names L-Z will resume in-person instruction and learning tomorrow, Tuesday, January 19. More communication will be sent this evening. Enjoy the Holiday.

Good afternoon. This message is only for High Schools. Due to Monday being a holiday, we will wait until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18 to review the WVDHHR map to find out the status of instruction in our High Schools for the upcoming week. If we are "Red" on the map, we will be in remote learning for the entire week. If we are "Orange", students with last names L-Z will return to in-person instruction on Tuesday, January 19. I will send out more communication tomorrow regarding Tuesday's re-entry for all students. Stay safe and healthy. Have a wonderful holiday.

As our excitement grows to have our students back in the building with us next week, I wanted to share some great news with everyone.
1. Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. Daugherty, and Ms. Martin will all be in their brand new classrooms starting on the 19th! The office area and auditorium area will still be closed at this time. (Mrs. Stanley's room is also still being completed at this time as well).
2. Our awesome TIS "Phil" will be working with the 8th grade teachers and students to add a keyboard to every 8th grader's i-pad who needs one (we know some have already purchased prior). This wonderful opportunity to make the i-Pads more functional for our students is due to our wonderful Academic Booster Program, who sponsored and paid for all of these keyboards. We are looking to expand in the future to include our 6th and 7th grade students as well.
Finally, our Local Schools Improvement Council (LSIC) this year approved purchases of new scoreboards for the middle school gym, as well as a sound system throughout the school for better communication that is being installed. We are thankful and appreciative of the committee and their dedication to improving the experiences for our students.

Parents, we recognize that some students have special circumstances in which a 5 day school week is best for their overall success. If you wish for your student to attend 5 days a week, check this form to see if your student meets any of the criteria and if so you may submit your request here:
