As everyone knows, the school year is right around the corner and the excitement is building. Please remember, Wood County is fortunate to have an Excess Levy passed, so we will always be able to supply students with everything they need.

Upcoming Academic Dates:
August 15th: 6th Grade Orientation 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
Parents please drop off students at the cafeteria (you may walk them in of course). Parents will meet back in the auditorium at 5:45 PM to meet with Principal Ward and administration. After that, your child will be able to walk you around to meet the teachers and see the school.
August 19th: Open House from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
August 21st: First day of school for students

Here are the 2024-2025 athletic ticket and pass prices. Once again, we are able to offer FREE admission to all WMHS students. We also have a cheaper pass option for our younger YellowJackets. You can pay cash in the athletic office or you can visit our GoFan site to purchase this years All-Sports Passes. As in the past, these passes and the listed ticket prices are for all HOME, regular season sporting events.


Student parking permits will be on sale beginning Wednesday, July 31st and August 1st from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. These days will be for SENIORS only, in the MIDDLE SCHOOL office. Juniors will be able to purchase parking spots from 9:00-11:00 AM, beginning August 2nd. The cost is $35, please bring the exact change or check made out to Williamstown High School.
SENIORS are once again able to paint their parking spots. All information will be included on the form below. If a senior is out of town, a form can be signed in advance and brought into the office for them as long as payment is made at the time. Parking will not be available for sophomores unless an extra announcement is made.

In celebration of Independence Day, all Wood County Schools' offices will be closed. Offices will reopen on Friday, July 5th.


Just a reminder: The Mid-Ohio Valley Workforce Development Board will offer two summer programs for students. The CTE Exploration Camp for incoming 8th-11th grade students will provide an opportunity to explore skilled trades of carpentry, welding, electrical as well as automotive, aviation, health care, and culinary. Camp will take place from July 10-12, 8:30am-3:00pm. The program includes virtual reality simulations, hands on projects, and guest speakers. Participants will earn certificates in workplace safety and customer service. Transportation assistance is available. Space is limited space. Just a reminder: The Apprenticeship Readiness Program provides incoming and graduating seniors the opportunity to participate in an Apprenticeship Readiness program from June 24 through 28th from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 pm. This experience will include hands on projects, mentoring, and career information in Construction, Carpentry, Electrical, Welding, and more. The week-long event will include tours of local union training facilities and mentoring from master craftsmen as well as the use of Virtual Reality for students to simulate on-the-job experiences in addition to the hands-on projects. Transportation assistance is available. Space is limited. Additional opportunities will be available to earn work and skills credentials. There will be a unique opportunity available next school year for ALL WCS students at PHS. A Plumbing and Pipefitting program is being offered, A student can schedule a half-day block for A.M. or P.M. and be bussed to PHS. This is a high-demand, high-earnings field in the region and state.
