We are still missing many AUP's. Please click the link and complete one for your child. You must complete a new one each year.
First 2 classes to have 100% submitted will earn an extra recess with Ms. Cumpston and Ms. Dixon.
If you need a paper copy, please send a note and let the teacher know.
Thank You!

Families,
Please go on-line and complete your child's Acceptable Use Policy form. Students will not be permitted to go on-line for learning activities unless we have the forms completed. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Parent Pick-Up (Cars)
Our goal on Monday is to have everyone dismissed by 3:05. Hopefully, over the next couple of weeks, we will get everyone dismissed by 3:00. Please make sure that your child knows their pick-up number. This will help things go a little faster.

A note from Ms. Dixon
Families that pick-up at the fire hydrant
Some wonderful parent suggestions have been given to make walker pick-up more efficient and continue to keep everyone safe. Monday grades 3-5 will still walk home and they will grab their younger siblings like they have been. One teacher per grade level will be checking KG, 1st, and 2nd grade off to leave. Every child in the school was given a parent pick-up tag number this year. Please bring the tag and this will be an easy way for the teacher to find your child's name. This also helps us to make sure children are going with the correct person. Thank you so much for the support and patience as we make adjustments.

If you have not completed the Acceptable Use Policy, please do so ASAP.

Dismissal went much smoother today! A big thanks to our parents and walkers. In case you weren't aware, you can follow the school on our school Facebook page.

Thank you to everyone who attended open house yesterday!
This message is to share information regarding after-school pick-up.
If you are driving a vehicle to pick-up your child, please use the parent pick-up line and make sure to have your tags hanging where we can see them.
If your child is a walker, they should be walking to your home.
If you are a parent who is parking or walking and getting your K-2 children from the fire hydrant, please be prepared for some changes to this procedure. We need to ensure that all children are going with the correct adult. Staff will instruct students in K-2 grade to remain with the duty teachers until a parent "checks" them out. Please be patient as we work out the kinks. Our number 1 priority is student safety.

Good afternoon families,
This is just a reminder that open house will be on Monday from 4:00-6:00. Please check out the news feed for more information. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Thank you daVinci's and Williamstown PTA for providing breakfast to the staff this week! It was a wonderful way to start the school year.

Thank you to all of those who helped with spreading mulch this week! A special thanks to Bridgeport Supply for allowing us to use the John Deere for a few days. Their generosity saved the school money and endless hours of extra work!

We will be spreading mulch today. Please stop by and help get the playground ready for the kids! It can be an hour or so. Don't feel like you need to stay all day. Old shoes!

Mulch spreading is canceled for today. The field is to wet. The tractor is tearing up the grass. We will try tomorrow. Hopefully we will have a lot of sunshine today!

Please click the link and complete the Acceptable Use Policy form with your child.
iPad's will not be issued until we have a completed form on file. This does not apply to PK students. Thank you!

Class lists are posted.

Happy Wednesday!
Yesterday all of this lovely playground mulch was delivered to the school. We had it delivered as close to the playgrounds as possible without tearing up the grass. Now, I am asking for your help! All of this mulch needs to be moved to the mulched areas on the playground. A couple of tractors with scoops and/or bobcats and some volunteers with pitch forks would make this task much more manageable for our custodians. If you would be willing to bring a tractor and bobcat to help out, please let me know by Friday. You can email me at lcumpsto@k12.wv.us. Otherwise, I will rent one from Bosley's. Work days for the mulch will be next Tuesday and Wednesday (August 15 and August 16). We will start around 8:00 a.m. and work as long as we have volunteers willing to help. Please comment if you can come and help out.

SCREENING FOR CHILDREN ENTERING SCHOOL - Screening will be conducted by school nurses and other professionals during regular school hours in Wood County Schools for students entering school for the first time. In addition, students entering parochial or other non-public schools will be screened. Screening will be done to identify problems in the following areas: language, speech, hearing, and vision. Parents of public school students who do not wish to have their child participate in this screening should inform the principal of the school attended by the child. For more information, contact Wood County Schools Special Education Office at (304) 420-9655.

Williamstown Elementary Families,
Class Lists will be posted at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 11. The lists will be posted on the front doors. Please do not take pictures of the lists and post them on social media. This could be a safety issue for some families. We will not provide this information over the phone. The lists will remain posted until school starts. Open House will be August 21 from 4:00-6:00. I hope to see you there!
