As a friendly reminder of the Visitor Policy for WCS Policy 1310 as we return to school operations. This is especially important when attending school events, activities, meetings, basketball games or otherwise any time visiting the school location:
Visitors are expected to be appropriately dressed and to display respect for all persons and activities occurring on school grounds. Appropriate dress shall include, but not be limited to not wearing items which use foul/profane language, promote the use of drugs or alcohol, or otherwise endorse behaviors which are prohibited on school grounds. Shoes, pants/shorts/skirts, and shirts/tops are required, at a minimum.
Parents/legal guardians of students, school volunteers, LSIC, and business Partners-in-Education team members are welcome to participate in events. Other visitors may be invited by special permission of the principal or designee. All visitors are expected to abide by the general rules of the school as defined by the building administrator.
Visitors on school grounds/at school activities are required to conduct themselves in a respectful manner which avoids all disruption of school activities.
Visitor access to school grounds may be denied, in whole or in part, for engaging in conduct that violates school board policy and/or is disruptive, aggressive, unsafe, or otherwise inconsistent with the learning environment for the school.
Building principals and other administrators are authorized to summon law enforcement and file criminal complaints against any person who violates this policy.
The superintendent of schools, with or without resorting to assistance from law enforcement, is authorized to deem persons as trespassers and ban such persons from school grounds and school activities for violating this policy or for any other reason which is in the best interests of the schools and consistent with the rights of others.
