
In addition to spotlighting many of our CTE students, we also want to introduce you to our exemplary CTE teachers. The best teachers in education teach at our two campuses. Our teachers believe in their students, push them to be the very best, and care for them. Students at our centers share that they enjoy attending classes with our teachers because they are experts in their respective fields, and they treat their students with respect.


The Sports Medicine Program had the opportunity to visit Washington State Community College! They saw a variety of different medical programs that are offered and got to try some cool labs!









Seniors in the Electrical Technology program recently wired electrical panels to serve as examples for the junior class.






The afternoon Cosmetology class has been working on hairstyling.





Senior Fire and Emergency Management students have been utilizing the new window simulation prop built by instructor Mr. Reynolds.





The Sports Medicine program developed an overhead throwing or hitting warmup and stretch recently. These steps can decrease injuries experienced in sports and on many jobsites.







The Carpentry class has been working on installing siding. The class built two walls and then installed the siding.





Calendar update: In order to account for missed school days due to inclement weather, students will now attend school on May 31 as well as June 3 and 4. Preschool will attend May 28 and 29. For staff, June 5 will be a curriculum development day (students do not attend) and June 6 will be a day to prepare for the end of the school year (students do not attend).

The Auto Tech and Collision Repair classes recently had the opportunity to see what National Guard mechanics do day to day.




Our ProStart Program was making some delicious kebabs today! Yum, angel cake and strawberries with chocolate drizzle!! 🍓🍰🍫🍽️






The seniors in Emergency and Fire Management got to go check out some of the amazing equipment and practice some paramedic skills with the new EMT Program offered at WVUP recently.

Our Carpentry classes have been framing roofs and laying the underlayment to get ready for shingles.




IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Wood County Board of Education will meet in special session Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, to conduct candidate interviews and appoint an interim board member to a vacant seat. The board has consulted with the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wood County Clerk’s Office and has been advised, due to election cycle deadlines, a selection must be made by February 12, 2024.
The online application period for those interested in applying for the interim position will close at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 12. The board meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. to announce the candidates and interviews will begin at 6:00 p.m. An appointment announcement will follow the completion of the interviews on February 12.
Those submitting an application by Sunday, February 11, will be informed of their interview time before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12. Applicants submitting applications on Monday, February 12, will be contacted as applications are received throughout the day to have interviews arranged for that evening.

Our Pro-Start program recently cooked up a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for our SkillsUSA chapter. 🍝🥖🍽️🧂




Wood County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, January 22, 2024.

Our latest CTE spotlight reveals how important it is for our ninth and tenth graders to have access to CTE programs. When students start their CTE journey early, they can gain additional skill sets for future employment by taking more than one CTE program while still in high school.


Wood County Schools will be closed on Friday, January 19, 2024 due to inclement weather.
